This has to be one of the most back breaking murals I have ever painted with over 300ft (90meters) of wall which is no more than 2ft high! This was an old boating pool for model boats that was built in 1933. The old pool used to go stagnant all the time and smell pretty bad so eventually it was drained and fell into disrepair. After standing empty for over 20 years Bromley Council have decided to give it a make-over and turn it into a sand-pit and children's play area and we were tasked with painting what remains of the original pool wall.
We painted the sides Yellow and the top Blue and added a wave and sea creatures on all surfaces. The design was kept simple to meet the council's budget.
The whole wall was coated with anti-graffiti varnish to make it last for many years to come. The project took 15 days in all to complete.
This is the finished park furnished with sand, water and play equipment
