An arts education helps build academic skills and increase academic performance, while also providing alternative opportunities to reward the skills of children who learn differently.
We love to work on site in schools so that the children can see our work being created. The children are always excited to see 'real' artists at work and we love hearing their comments and fielding their questions. We often walk away from a school project feeling that we might have just inspired a few into being more creative! We often produce murals based on the school curriculum or to convey a message. The children can even get involved in the process, either at the design stage or even with the painting itself.
Our murals can be interior or exterior, traditional or contemporary. They are a long lasting and hard-wearing addition that can make all the pupils more appreciative of their surroundings. Murals do actually deter graffiti as most scribblers prefer plain walls but for added peace of mind an anti graffiti coating can be added.

St Anne & St Joseph's catholic primary school mural. This mural was painted in a Roman Catholic Primary School in Accrington, Lancashire. The school was named after its two patron saints so the mural had to feature both of them with the school badge and motto, 'This is our school; Let love dwell here.' I painted a sumptuous Burgundy red as a base for the background to which I added a mottled sponge effect for interest. It was completed in a week and finished with anti-graffiti varnish.
This was a fun mural to paint! It's in St Edwards Primary School, Sheerness and features many popular children's storybook characters. The children loved watching this develop over the two weeks we were there and it really transformed the area!
