We have had a slight hitch in proceedings this week due to the van dying but we have managed to get to work a couple of times and carry on. As you can see we have completed Alan Shepard (I thought it was Neil Armstrong), and he has been joined by Marylin Munroe, Charles Lindburgh, architect Frank Lloyd Wright and, just coming into the picture on the left, Louis Armstrong.

Day 6 and we are about halfway along the wall. From the Right we have Kennedy, Princess Diana, Einstein, Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Walt Disney with Bill Gates above him and a yet unfinished Neil Armstrong and Marylin Monroe. These are all being sketched and painted freehand.

Kennedy, Princess Diana (unfinished), Albert Einstein, Gandhi (unfinished) and just to the left of him will be Mother Theresa.

The start of 2012 and we are into our first big mural of the year! This is going to be 35 ft long and 16 ft high on the wall of a spa showroom in Gillingham. The spas and jacuzzies are made by a company in Canada and this is a recreation of a much larger mural that they have on the outside of their factory. The original mural is a salute to legends and features the portraits of many famous icons local to Canada and from around the world.

As you can see, it is early days but we have it pencilled out using the grid method, scaling up from photos of the original design, painted in the background slogan and are on to the details to the right which starts with a totem pole. Stay tuned for progress on this!

Toy Story Mural

This was quite a challenging mural. The customer wanted all her son's favourite film characters on his bedroom wall but she wanted them to look as close as possible as they do in the film. I painted the background to resemble Andy's Room who is the boy in Toy Story.

Meet Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Bullseye, Ham, Rex and Slinky, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head and Three Green Aliens.

ue

Due to the detail in this mural, this one wall took four days to complete!

For more pictures CLICK HERE!

This is another pub (our third on the trot), The Black Horse near Folkstone in Kent. Again, this was painted just for Christmas and will be whitewashed in January.

Situated on top of a hill with a 16ft high Santa painted on the side this pub is sure to catch a few eyes and do a roaring trade this Christmas!

We have just finished painting the Hawkenbury Public House ready for Christmas. The landlord wanted it to appeal to a younger audience this year and requested lots of popular children's characters to be featured. This whole building was completed in just 5 days. It's already drawing attention and all of the neighbours have been looking forward to this years creation!

For more images of the mural click here.

We are getting into the spirit of Halloween down at Swale Arts in the Forum. All the staff have been dressing up, we have had a spooky treasure hunt and we also have a pumpkin carving competition for members to enter.

This is me dressed as the Grim Reaper. At almost 7ft tall and with glowing eyes I did scare a lot of folk today. It worked really well if I stood still for a while and then only moved when people approached me. I made this costume myself while I was sitting in the shop yesterday.

I also spent a couple of hours this afternoon doing some pumpkin carving and these are the results.
